Search Engine Marketing Specialist (SEO / SEM)

  • Ensure that all websites and internet properties are technically optimized to attract and engage those visitors that closely match the agreed profile of the target audience

  • Create necessary technical architecture

  • Build systems and protocols internally that ensure all content is optimized across all platforms and user experiences (websites, mobile, social, video, blogs, retail portals et cetera)

  • Set up and work to ensure performance indicators for SEO to be easily understood and which complement overall marketing and business objectives

  • Promote both offsite and onsite activities and also the interactions that build ranking, profile and traffic

  • Every page on a site should have a defined purpose

  • Digital PR and inbound link strategies

  • User interaction and user generated and social comment

  • Geographical targeting and geo searching

  • Off-site high quality back link building

  • Use of tools for measuring and comparison becoming more plentiful and useful

  • Personalization of internet use and non-standard search results

  • Diversity of media and the technical implications – example - video, blended search, social search, mobile et cetera

Requirements and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science / Engineering / Information Technology or equivalent)

  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience

  • Knowledge and strong hands on working experience mobile apps

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Manage time and set priorities for tasks

  • Able to adapt readily & effective towards unexpected or changing conditions

  • Self-motivated. Able to meet deadlines. Willingness to work extended hours during project peak period

  • Experience with bid management tools (e.g. Click Equations, Martin, Kenshoo, Search Ignite)

  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments

  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints

  • Up-to-date with latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM

  • Proven SEM experience managing PPC campaigns across Goggle, Yahoo, Bing, Baidu et cetera

  • Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion and online customer acquisition

  • In-depth experience with website analytics tools (example Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
